After spending over forty years in the corner of my grandmothers kitchen in upstate NY, this Christmas Cactus came home to live with me after her passing ten years ago. This series of four soft and subtle photos depicts my memories of the simple happiness I remember seeing on my grandmothers face every time she saw a new blossom appear. For these memories I am blessed.
Cold in blue
Art on a parking lot wall on a 15 degree day in Burlington, VT.
Abandoned places, of any kind, are some of the most intense and intriguing places to photograph. From the dramatic moods created by the sunlight shining through broken out windows to the mildew covered peeling paint falling off of an asylums walls. Im addicted to the the decay and the grime, the forgotten.
Rain on me
Up close, magnified and abstract. Rain drops, dew drops, whatever..... I like to capture the beauty of these little intricate detailed spheres of H2O.
